Tourist
Visa
Visa for stay up to 15 days can be obtained at Vientiane Airport only (not
border crossings).
For stays exceeding 15 days please submit the following:
- Original passport, must have at least six months remaining validity and
one blank visa page
- 2 Visa Application Forms,
fully completed and signed
- 3 Passport-type photographs
- Self-addressed pre-paid envelope or $18 for overnight DHL delivery.
Business Visa
- Original passport, must have at least six months remaining validity and
one blank visa page
- 2 Visa Application Forms,
fully completed and signed
- 3 Passport-type photographs
- Your host company in Laos must obtain an approval letter from the Immigration
Department in Vientiane, to be sent to the Embassy of Laos in Washington.
Processing is facilitated if a copy of the letter is submitted with the
application.
- Self-addressed pre-paid envelope or $18 for overnight DHL delivery.
FEES
- Tourist / Business visa - $90
- Visa for applicant of Laos origin (former citizen or having a Laotian
parent)- $65.00
Processing time - 5-7 business days.
