In order to obtain a visa to Syria please provide the following:

Tourist Visa

1. U.S. Passport (must have at least 6 months remaining validity)
2. 2 Visa Application Forms fully completed and signed
3. 2 Passport-type photographs required

Business Visa

1. U.S. Passport (must have at least 6 months remaining validity)
2. 2 Visa Application Forms fully completed and signed
3. 2 Passport-type photographs required
4. A business letter of responsibility to be typewritten on your company letterhead and addressed to the Embassy of Syrian Arab Republic, Visa Section, Washington D.C. The letter must explain the following:
   - Purpose of travel
   - Business reference to be visited
   - Guarantee financial support for the applicant .

Processing time: 3 business days

Return mail: please include a self-addressed pre-paid envelope or $18 for FedEx delivery.

Notes: The Syria tourist or business visa is usually issued for a single entry for a period of 3 months from date of issue, provided the passport remains valid, for a period of stay not to exceed 30 days. A double entry visa is available by written request only (no additional fee).
Passport and travel documents must not contain any evidence of prior or intended travel to Israel.
